Open Auditions for Short Film – The NC Media Arts Center
Are you passionate about acting and eager to showcase your talent? The NC Media Arts Center is excited to announce open auditions for our upcoming short film! We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic actors to bring our story to life.
Audition Details:
- Date: Saturday, September 1st
- Time: 11am
- Location: The Media Arts Center, 3420 Toringdon Way, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28277
Roles Available:
- [Role 1]: Mike: Lead. 20s. Scrawny, shy everyman, He’s a self portrait artist studying his art major with little self confidence
- [Role 2]: Jane: supporting. 20s, Attractive, manipulative, conniving, cautious, sly and witty, She burglarizes for fun.
- [Role 3]: Alec: Supporting. 20s Laid back, sarcastic
- [Role 4] Liz: Supporting. 20s Girl next door, curiously wide eyed.
Requirements:

- Experience: All experience levels are welcome.
- Age: 18-29
- Preparation: Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of your choice. Sides will also be provided for cold readings.
- Headshot & Resume: Not required – a copy of your headshot and resume a bonus.
- Shooting Date: [This is not the audition date] Saturday, September 8th. 11a-1pm
- Compensation: Meals, Film credit, and two complementary tickets to the premier are provided. This is a student film. No cash compensation is provided.
- Release: All actors must sign an industry standard release prior to shooting.
